Cutco Cutlery

WARNING.... GRAPHIC PHOTO AHEAD!! Right after high school I had this fabulous job :( (it wasn't really that good, however I was able to buy a $400 or $500 knife set for $149) Well anyway here is a little information about these awesome knives.
  • A selling point of the knives is that they are extremely sharp. The company claims that the sharpness actually makes the knives safer. About 28,000 knife sets were recalled in 2002 due to a safety defect which caused a knife to protrude from the block if it were inserted upside down; this had resulted in an injury requiring stitches.

STITCHES ANYONE??? Yeah, so this photo was taken today after my finger is looking a little bit better. Last Saturday I was doing the dishes and I was on the last dish.... the wonderful "Bread Slicer." There was no slicing bread about it, just a finger. I was drying off this knife and was going to put it away when I accidently cut through the towel and into my flesh. I waited for Colten to get home from his CNA class (1 hr) and then we went to the InstaCare in Cedar City. After a short wait and 260 dollars later, I came out with a numb finger and 6 stitches. Boy doesn't this look fun!
